Crazy long battery life
I needed a voice recorder with five things: a super-sensitive microphone, voice-activated mode, long battery life, lots of internal memory, and compatibility with both Mac and PC. This is the only model I could find that had all of these. The microphone picks up even the softest noises from way across a large room (using to monitor my home office when I'm not there), and the sound-activation works flawlessly. I only have to recharge the battery about once every two months how I'm using it, and it charges while I'm transferring the MP3 recordings to my computer. One plus I didn't think I'd use, but I do: the package includes a tiny wired remote control and earphones. This comes in handy when I want to listen back to my recordings but don't have a computer near me. Buying a second one for my office now - glad to see the free shipping is still going. :)
